What services does a home-care agency provide?
Licensed Home Healthcare Agencies provide services that assist individuals with their Activities of Daily Living (ADL). These services include bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders and light housekeeping.
Can Home Health Aide administer medication?
Though this varies state by state, most do not allow Home Health Aides to administer medication. Home Health Aides can give reminders to a client when it is time to take medication and assist in opening prescription bottles.
What can I expect to happen on the first day?
On the first day of service, the assigned professional will arrive at your home, complete with an understanding of your needs. In most cases, our nurse will also visit you on your first day of service to review your needs, create your individualized care plan and obtain authorizations to allow us to perform care for you.
How do you screen your employees?
We developed a rigorous 5 step screening process for all caregivers new to MARSCare. All of our employees have home care experience, a complete background check, two-step interview process with our various team members, as well as provide recent, verifiable references. Also, each applicant is tested for competency and is required to attend a company orientation. This screening process has proven effective, and we have a very high satisfaction rating.
How can I pay for my services?
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, other insurances, as well as private pay.
